Ingredients

  • 12 ounces good dark chocolate chopped
  • 12 ounces good white chocolate chopped
  • ½ cup roasted peanuts
  • ½ cup crushed peppermint candy
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • ½ cup dried coconut

Instructions

  • Melt the dark and white chocolates separately in heatproof bowls set over a pan of simmering water, or melt them in short bursts in the microwave, stirring often to avoid scorching.
  • Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Pour the melted dark chocolate onto one sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula to your desired thickness.
  • Pour the melted white chocolate onto the second sheet and spread it with a spatula. You can swirl the chocolates together if you like a marbled effect.
  • Sprinkle your chosen toppings over each sheet while the chocolate is still warm so they adhere. Let the chocolate set at room temperature or in the fridge for about 2 hours, then break into pieces and package as gifts.

Chocolate Bark and a Merry Christmas

Here’s a quick, last-minute homemade treat that’s perfect for Christmas. I made these Chocolate Barks to bring to my sister-in-law’s house last year and loved how simple and versatile they are. They make lovely gifts because they’re easy to prepare, customizable, and store well when wrapped.

I prepared two varieties: white chocolate bark and dark chocolate bark. For toppings I used a mix of single-ingredient barks and combinations with several toppings. Use the suggested toppings or swap in your favorites — nuts, seeds, or dried fruits all work beautifully.

Love, peace and prosperity to all. Have a very merry Christmas!
